The serious game 'The Optimal Mix' is a modular card game: you can adjust the rules and playing time. This allows you to play the game multiple times, and align it with the learning objectives of your game session and the needs of your players.

Via the form below, you can order the game to facilitate it independently. You will receive within 2 weeks:

Card game(s) via PostNL (if shipping to the Netherlands)
Guide for game leader(s), including instructional video
PowerPoint presentation for during the game session
PDF documents with optional game extensions, to print yourself on A4 or A3 format

Per team (of 5-7 players) you need one card game. For example: if you're gaming with 30 people, you'll need 5 or 6 games.

Due to shipping costs, the price decreases when you order more games. Indicative prices in 2025 (excl. VAT and for shipping in NL):

5 players, 1 card game, 50 EUR (so 50 EUR/set)
20 players, 3 card games, 90 EUR (so 30 EUR/set)
30 players, 5 card games, 125 EUR (so 25 EUR/set)
60 players, 10 card games, 190 EUR (so 19 EUR/set)

You can reuse the game for new players, or with different rules.

The Optimal Mix has multiple learning objectives. For a game session, you choose 1 or 2 that you want to give extra attention to.

Order Form

Great that you're interested in serious gaming! Before you start filling it out this form, make sure you know:

How many people (approximately) will be playing. The game is suitable for 5-100 players. More is also possible – but we don't have experience with that yet!
When you will (approximately) be playing. Due to shipping time, we ask you to place your order at least two weeks in advance. This also gives you sufficient preparation time (approx. 2 hours per game leader, and approx. 1 game leader per 30 players). The game itself takes 45 minutes to 2 hours – that’s up to you.
Where you want the invoice to be sent. After submitting the form, you will receive confirmation from us that we are preparing the order, and the invoice (payment within 30 days). A price indication is at the top of this webpage. Want to know the exact amount? Email info@deoptimalemix.nl
